Imagine walking into a classroom with torn clothes and no school bag. The teacher writes on the blackboard, but you can’t take notes because you don’t own a notebook. This is the reality for thousands of children in India who want to learn but lack the most basic resources.
At Samaira Foundation, we believe education is the most powerful weapon to break the cycle of poverty. A pencil in a child’s hand today can create a doctor, teacher, or leader tomorrow.
Why Education Changes Everything
Breaks the poverty cycle – Education opens doors to better opportunities.
Boosts confidence – Children feel valued when they can learn like others.
Protects from exploitation – Educated children are less vulnerable to child labor.
Empowers girls – Every year of schooling increases a girl’s earning potential by 10–20%.
Did You Know? (Facts About Education in India)
Over 35 million children in India aged 6–14 are still out of school.
Every additional year of schooling can increase a child’s income by 8–10%.
Children with access to books at home are twice as likely to complete secondary education.
A Real Story
- Priya, a 12-year-old girl, dreamed of becoming a teacher. But her parents, daily wage laborers, couldn’t afford her school fees or books. Through Samaira Foundation’s support, Priya received her first set of books and a uniform. Today, she not only attends school daily but also teaches her younger brother at home.
